When Mom, a wonderful woman and extraordinarily good cook, passed on in 2006 she left behind a whole lot of recipe cards. Those recipes have been sitting in a cupboard ever since. This blog seemed like a good way to share them with friends and family, as well as motivation for me to transcribe the blasted things. I’ll also be adding my own recipes, as well as those passed along to me by friends.

Buried among the treasured family foods are remnants of dining fashions from the 1950s through today.  So yes, there may be some mocking—what else can you do with baked chipped beef? But it’s mocking from love.
